Fair questions, straight answers
Google and compliance
Is this allowed by Google?
Asking for reviews is allowed and every serious business does it. What Google prohibits is review gating (hiding the review option from unhappy customers), incentivised reviews, and fake reviews. TopGenie ships compliant by default: the Google link stays visible to everyone, and the private feedback form is offered first for low ratings. The setting is in your hands, and we explain the risk plainly if you change it.
Does it write fake reviews?
No, and accounts that try to fake reviews get closed. Only a real customer, on their own phone, in their own Google account can post. TopGenie helps them say what they already think, and they edit every word.
Can Google tell the reviews came through TopGenie?
Reviews are typed and posted by real customers from their own accounts and devices, which is exactly what Google wants. Because each customer picks and edits from varied drafts, reviews stay individual. We also cap nothing about honesty: a customer can write anything they want.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google prohibits incentivised reviews and can remove them or suspend profiles. Our terms prohibit it too. The product works by removing friction, not by paying for praise.
Using it day to day
Do my customers need an app?
No. The QR opens a normal web page that loads in about a second on any phone, in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu.
What happens with a bad rating?
The customer is invited to tell you privately what went wrong, with an optional phone number. You get an email immediately and a WhatsApp button to reach them before anything goes public. The how it works page shows the full flow.
Can I ask customers who already left the shop?
Yes. Keep a customer list in TopGenie (paste it from your billing software) and send review requests over WhatsApp or email, with sensible daily limits.
Does it work for multiple branches?
Yes. Each location has its own QR, page, language, and numbers. The Growth plan covers five locations, and branch owners get logins that see only their branch.
What are the NFC cards?
Tap-to-review cards for the counter, an optional physical add-on. Each card is individually tracked, so you know which card actually earns reviews. Request them from your dashboard and our team arranges it. QR always works alongside.
Money and data
What does it cost?
Free for one location and 30 assisted reviews a month. Paid plans are Rs 499 and Rs 999 a month, GST extra, no lock-in. Full pricing here.
What data do you collect about my customers?
Nothing, unless they type it. The review flow needs no name or number. Private feedback they write goes only to you. The data usage page lists every flow.
Can I get my data out?
Yes: feedback and customer lists export to CSV from the dashboard, and account deletion is honoured per the privacy policy.
Refunds?
7 day full money-back on the first payment. The whole policy fits on one page.
