Honest scope first

TopGenie is built for Indian local businesses, priced in rupees, and operated from India. We do not target the EU or UK market. If you use TopGenie from there anyway, this page explains your position honestly rather than pretending we run an EU compliance programme we do not have. We have not appointed an EU or UK representative under Article 27; if our audience there ever grows beyond incidental use, we will.

What applies to you

Everything in the privacy policy and data usage statement applies globally: minimal collection, no selling, no advertising use, no AI training, automatic retention limits, and deletion on request. Those practices were built for India's DPDP Act and happen to align closely with GDPR expectations.

Legal bases (Article 6)

• Performance of a contract: running the account you signed up for and billing it.
• Legal obligation: keeping payment and tax records.
• Legitimate interests: platform security, abuse prevention, and audit of privileged access.
• Consent: messages you send us, and the optional details a reviewer's customer chooses to type into private feedback.

Your rights (Articles 15 to 21)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (we can export your account data in a machine-readable format on request), and objection. Write to support@topgenie.in from your account email; identity is verified by that email, and we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

International transfer

Our servers and company are in India, so using TopGenie from the EU or UK means your data is processed in India. India does not currently hold an EU adequacy decision; by using the service from the EU or UK you do so with that knowledge. Payment processing runs through Razorpay and profile lookups through Google, each under their own compliance programmes.

Automated decisions

TopGenie makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about anyone. Review drafts are rule-based text suggestions a human always edits and posts themselves.
